MOUNT VERNON — Judge John Thatcher found 12 guilty after arraignments and hearings were held at the Mount Vernon Municipal Court on Nov. 28, 2017.
Joshua Proper, 34, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of possession of marijuana, for which the court sentenced him to pay a $150 fine and two counts of not wearing a seat belt, for which he got fined an additional $30 for each count.
Alan Christian, 25, of St. Louisville, was found guilty of possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia, speeding, and not wearing a seat belt. The court sentenced him to pay a $150 fine for the drug paraphernalia charge and another $30 for each of the two traffic violations.
Kourtney Love, 25, of Mansfield, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension/license forfeiture. She was sentenced to pay a $150 fine for the drug possession charge and a $200 fine for driving under suspension.
Douglas Tolliver, 40, of Martinsburg, was found guilty of two counts of not wearing a seat belt. He was $30 for each of these offenses.
Jordan Wears, 19, of Howard, was found guilty of operating a vehicle under the influence and failure to control/weaving. The court sentenced him to serve a two-year probation term, 180 days in jail with 177 days suspended, attend a 72-hour driver intervention program, pay a $500 fine for the OVI charge, and suspended his operator’s license for one year. He was fined $35 for the failure to control charge.
Christopher Kapa, 22, of Mount Vernon, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana and was sentenced to pay a $150 fine.
Roy Miller, 18, of Brinkhaven, was found guilty of operating a vehicle under the influence. The court sentenced him to serve a two-year probation term, 180 days in jail with 177 days suspended, attend a 72-hour driver intervention program, pay a $500 fine, and suspended his operator’s license for one year.
Logan Peters, 20, of Fort Carson, Colorado, was found guilty of driving under an FRA suspension and speeding. The court sentenced him to pay a total of $285 in fines for these charges.
Brittany Coykendall, 35, of Mount Vernon, pleaded guilty to not wearing a seat belt. She was sentenced to pay a $30 fine.
Brian Stought, 21, of Johnstown, plesded guilty to speeding and was fined $75.
Hope Heldenbrand, 20, of Mount Vernon, pleaded guilty to speeding and was sentenced to pay a $30 fine.
Derek Duemey, 57, of Columbus, was found guilty of driving under a suspension and was sentenced to pay a $150 fine.
