MOUNT VERNON — The MVHS theater was full of proud parents and students at the annual Laura B. Coons Chapter of the National Honor Society induction ceremony Tuesday evening. The junior and senior students selected were chosen to uphold the the society’s pledge to “always seek the light of truth, to hold scholarly habits, to engage in worthy service and to lead forward in all things that shall advance the welfare of [the] school.”
NHS Officers Maxwell Chandler, Hannah Kinnear, Gennete Saciri and Angela Kladias spoke about the four pillars of NHS: Character, Scholarship, Leadership and Service. Each inductee was introduced and congratulated on stage by Principal Scott Will and their parents.
