MOUNT VERNON – The Soroptimist Club of Mount Vernon and Knox County will award $1000.00 to a woman in the community a college or university, working towards a bachelors, masters or doctoral degree in her chosen field. The Club Award Winner will then advance to the District Level with an opportunity to win an additional $500.00 award.
The finalists from each District will then be submitted to compete for the overall Midwest Region Award, which is $2500.00. The Midwest Region Award will be presented at the Midwestern Spring Conference, held in April.
