MOUNT VERNON – On Thursday, November 2, 2017 the first pass of leaf pick-up was completed throughout the entire city.
Crews will not be out the week of November 6-9. Normal pickup will resume November 13, 2017. Any residents with leaves that need to be picked up prior to that date, please call the Street Department office at (740) 393-9501 between the hours of 9:00am and 1:00pm weekdays to make arrangements for pick up.
Reminder: please have your leaves raked to the curb but not into the street.
The leaf drop off area located through the west entrance to Ariel-Foundation Park (off Harcourt Road) remains open. This is for loose leaves only. All bags and other containers must be removed from the area after they are emptied.
