Dear KP Editor,
Soon, Knox County citizens will go to the polls and have the opportunity to vote on the Knox County Park District .35 replacement levy. What is the impact of this levy? For homeowners, they can expect to pay approximately $12.25 per year for a home valued at $100,000. That is slightly more than three cents a day to support the development and maintenance of trails, parks, and recreational areas across the county. What a bargain!
The all-volunteer Kokosing Gap Trail Board of Trustees serves as a non-profit organization with the primary mission of maintaining the Kokosing Gap Trail. We have been honored to serve thousands of citizens and guests of Knox County for 29 years. We work in cooperation with the Knox County Park District and believe that it is important for Knox County citizens to vote in favor of the replacement levy for the Park District. Support for this levy is encouraged as a vital way to maintain and enhance local recreational assets.
The Kokosing Gap Trail Board of Trustees is unanimous in their support of this levy and encourages you to cast a vote in support of trails, parks, and recreational areas in the coming election.

President, Kokosing Gap Trail
