MOUNT VERNON – A Columbus man accused of dealing heroin locally is now in custody at the Knox County jail. According to public records, Sabian Deaigo Chatman, 35, was jailed Thursday on a charge of heroin trafficking. He is being held without bond.
Knox County Sheriff David Shaffer issued this statement about the Chatman arrest this morning:
“As the result of a joint drug investigation between the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and the Mount Vernon Police Department officers have arrested Sabian D. Chatman of Columbus, Ohio. Chatman, aka “Dot” is currently being held in the Knox County Jail.”

Shaffer continued, “Charges of trafficking in heroin, as well as other offenses, are likely. Seized during the arrest were approximately 50 grams of suspected heroin and $2,500 in cash. The case remains under investigation.”
