MOUNT VERNON — Drivers need to pay close attention when they come to the railroad crossing on Tilden Avenue.
City Law Director Rob Broeren said that a law created by the Ohio Legislature in 2013 is just now being seen in the city. At crossings that do not have long-arm gates, the railroad crossing signs now have a stop sign attached.
“Tilden Avenue now has two stop signs. The Knox County Sheriff’s Office will begin ticketing you if you fail to stop,” he said.
