MOUNT VERNON – The Knox Community Hospital Center for Cancer Care encourages you to join them to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a free breast cancer education event on Thursday, October 20 at 6:15 pm. This inspiring event will not only be interesting, but it will be educational as well.
Dr. Lori L. Wilson will be a guest speaker at this event. Dr. Wilson is a Division Chief of Surgical Oncology, Cancer Surgeon, and a researcher at the Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. She is also a breast cancer survivor. Dr. Wilson will share her journey from surgeon, to patient, to survivor. She will also share the lessons she has learned through her journey of battling breast cancer and the impact that it has had on her life.
This event will be held at the Glenn A. Gallagher Centre. Registration will begin at 5:00 pm followed by the program at 6:15 pm. Refreshments will be available. There is minimal seating, so please RSVP by October 14th to 740.393.5579. There is a limit of 2 guests per survivor. This annual occasion promises to be inspiring, educating, and interesting.
