On 10/3/16, Thomas Hill, II, was arrested on a warrant out of Mount Vernon Municipal Court. Hill was transported to the Knox County jail without incident.

On 10/3/16, vehicles driven by John J. Kempton and Jacquelyn Scarbury, were stopped northbound at the exit of Hillside Apartment complex when Kempton proceeded to back southbound and failed to see Scarbury’s vehicle striking it in the front.
On 10/3/16, a vehicle driven by Tiffany Bryant was traveling southbound on S. Sandusky St. when she failed to stop for a red light causing a collision with a vehicle driven by George Cline who was traveling westbound on W. Gambier St.
On 10/3/16, a vehicle driven by Jason A. Jackson, was traveling westbound through the Country Court Nursing Center parking lot when he struck the overhead structure causing it to collapse.
Incidents:
On 10/3/16, Mount Vernon Police responded to the area of 300 Maplewood Ave. on a found syringe complaint. Syringe was placed in sharps container in patrol car.
On 10/3/16, Mount Vernon Police responded to the 300 block of East Ohio Avenue in reference to a civil matter, Officer made contact with the complainant who said a limb fell from a tree and hit her vehicle. She contacted her landlord who indicated it was a City of Mount Vernon issue since he was not in charge of trimming the tree. Complaint contacted the city and was advised the tree was to be taken care of by the landlord. Complainant was advised to contact her vehicle insurance carrier. A report was taken for documentation purposes.
