MOUNT VERNON – Police found two people passed out in a vehicle at 10 N. Sandusky Street, the UDF location, just past 8:00 p.m. Sunday. According to the report released Wednesday by MVPD, Shannon Diaz, 33, of Pataskala and Joshua Royster, 31, homeless, were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. When they came to, the two admitted to officers that they had used an illegal drug. Drug paraphernalia was found inside their vehicle including a purple bag containing a spoon with residue, pliers, a purple rubber tourniquet, cut straw, and a pair of plastic purple gloves. Officers also recovered a gold Vietnam watch and a gold ring with red and white stones.

Both were taken to the Knox County Jail.

The items were placed into evidence at the MVPD. The vehicle was towed.
