MOUNT VERNON – MVPD Chief Roger Monroe confirms that there was an a shooting incident in the 200 block of Howard Street Thursday night. The victim claimed he was shot in the arm after confronting a man who was breaking into his vehicle. It is unknown what exactly caused the injury or who. Chief Monroe says the victim was flown to Columbus for treatment.
