MOUNT VERNON – Shakti Fit yoga studio has opened in downtown Mount Vernon at 114 South Main and recently took over the space previously occupied by a flower shop on the ground level. There are three levels now offering classes in Yoga and personal & group training. The benefits of yoga are many and include improved flexibility, strength building, better range of motion, increased drainage of lymph (improving immune system), lower blood presure and lower resting heart rate. Shakti Fit offers several kinds of yoga from Restorative to Hatha Flow to Vinyasa Flow and Fundamental Flow.

Farmer said that in addition to the classes and training they hope to soon offer nutrition classes. To find out more visit Shakti Fit on Facebook and Instagram.
