MOUNT VERNON – Knox County Prosecuting Attorney Chip McConville reported that the Knox County Grand Jury handed down 15 indictments for felony crimes on Monday. The charges included methamphetamine manufacturing, burglaries, felonious assault and compelling prostitution. Arraignments in these cases are scheduled for Friday, June 19, 2015 in the Knox County Common Pleas Court.
Frederick N. Olive, 26, of Mount Vernon was indicted for Illegal Manufacture of Drugs in the vicinity of a juvenile, a felony of the first degree. The indictment alleges that Olive was using his Mount Vernon apartment for the manufacture of methamphetamine. Mount Vernon Police and a clandestine lab response team served a search warrant at Olive’s East Pleasant Street apartment on April 2. This case was investigated by Det. Sgt. Craig Feeney of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and Det. Cpl. Beth Marti of the Mount Vernon Police Department.
Jacolyn D. Molinaro, 22, of Cleveland, and John E. Adams, 27, of Zanesville were indicted for Burglary, a felony of the third degree. The indictment alleges that Molinaro and Adams entered a home on Hazel Dell Road on May 21st and took jewelry, military medals, and other items. This case was investigated by Det. Sgt. Craig Feeney.
William D. Perry, 54, of Mount Vernon, was indicted for Felonious Assault, a felony of the second degree, and Domestic Violence, a felony of the fourth degree. Perry allegedly caused serious physical harm to his girlfriend during a May 24th altercation in their Mount Vernon residence. Perry has a previous Domestic Violence conviction in Franklin County. This case was investigated by Det. Tim Arnold of MVPD.
Cody J. Winter, 23, of Fredericktown was indicted for Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle, a felony of the fourth degree, and Breaking and Entering, a felony of the fifth degree. The indictment alleges that Winter took a Suzuki King Quad from a residence in Bellville. This case was investigated by Det. Sgt. Craig Feeney.
Rodney L. Shock, 61, of Mount Vernon was indicted for Assault, a felony of the fourth degree. Shock is alleged to have assaulted EMS personnel with a walking stick while they were trying to administer treatment enroute to Knox Community Hospital. This case was investigated by Ptl. Zachary Miller of the Mount Vernon Police Department.
Michael Cordray, 44, of Mount Vernon was indicted for Possession of Drugs, a felony of the fifth degree, Possession of Marijuana Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor of the fourth degree, and Possession of Marijuana, a minor misdemeanor. The indictment is a result of a traffic stop where Cordray was alleged to be in possession of Xanax as well as the marijuana. This case was investigated by MVPD Ptl. Brian Weiser.
Jeremiah L. Leist, 32, of Mount Vernon was indicted for Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a felony of the fifth degree, and Obstructing Official Business, a misdemeanor of the second degree. The indictment alleges that officers were searching Leist as a result of a domestic disturbance when he ran from them. He is also alleged to have been in possession of methamphetamine. This case was investigated by Ptl. Aaron Collins of the Mount Vernon Police Department.
Dennis R. Avery Jr., 36, of Newark, was indicted for Felonious Assault, a felony of the second degree, and Endangering Children, a felony of the third degree. Avery is alleged to have shaken a one year old child, resulting in injuries requiring the child to be life-flighted for medical attention. This case was investigated by Det. Dan Bobo of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.
Dennis R. Palmer, 50, of Mount Vernon was indicted for Compelling Prostitution, a felony of the third degree. The indictment alleges that Palmer offered a person he believed to be a minor child money in exchange for sex. This case was investigated by Det. Dan Bobo.
Terry Stewart, 49, of Howard was indicted for Gross Sexual Imposition, a felony of the fourth degree, and Disseminating Matter Harmful to Juveniles, a felony of the fifth degree. The indictment alleges that Stewart inappropriately touched his girlfriend’s teenage daughter and sent her sexually explicit text messages. This case was investigated by Det. Dan Bobo.
Andrew Shuster, 26, of Mount Vernon, was indicted for Trespass in a Habitation, a felony of the fourth degree, and two counts of Domestic Violence, both felonies of the fourth degree. Shuster is alleged to have committed domestic violence against his girlfriend on two separate occasions before forcing his way into her home. This case was investigated by MVPD Ptl. Nick Holdren.
Sarah J. Jacobs, 19, of Howard was indicted for three counts of Receiving Stolen Property. Jacobs is alleged to be in possession of stolen property from three different incidents. This case was investigated by Ptl. Nick Holdren.
Kelsi Keener, 27, of Mount Vernon was indicted for Aggravated Possession of Drugs. The indictment alleges that Keener was found in possession of methamphetamine when an active arrest warrant was served on her. This case was investigated by Ptl. Nick Holdren.
Jordan M. Wilson, 18, of Danville was indicted for Aggravated Vehicular Assault, a felony of the third degree, and two counts of Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence, both misdemeanors of the first degree. Wilson is alleged to have been driving under the influence when he lost control of his vehicle and caused serious injuries to his passenger. This case was investigated by Tpr. Chantelle Taylor of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
