MOUNT VERNON – Sunshine was in abundance at the free fishing event at Ariel Foundation Park on Saturday. The focus was on child anglers as prizes were awarded for the most successful fishermen and women. Representatives from the Division of Wildlife, the Knox County Parks Department and the Marine Patrol Unit of the Knox County Sheriff’s Department were on hand. Anglers were catching crappie, blue gill and trout. And those who were left waiting for a nibble had the opportunity to spend time outdoors with family and friends.
