Danville Police Department

 

DPD responded to the 300 block of Earlmick Street on a burglary attempt on Tuesday. Resident discovered upon returning home that someone had slit a entry door screen and removed the glass for the purpose to gain entry. Resident advises nothing was discovered missing.

DPD responded to the 400 block of South Market Street on a burglary attempt on Tuesday. Suspect had pushed in a window for the purpose to gain entry to a vacant residence but nothing was taken.

Motorist reported to the DPD on Tuesday that the stop sign at the intersection of State Routes 205 & 514 is missing. DPD relayed information to ODOT.

DPD responded to a private property auto crash in the area of 3 North Market Street on Tuesday. A vehicle driven by Alvin Keener age 75 of Danville backed into a vehicle driven by Deanna Sigman age 34 of Danville.

DPD responded to a business alarm in the 800 block of South Market Street on Thursday.

Mount Vernon Police Department

Incidents:

At 7:25 a.m. on Thursday, a victim reported the theft of several items—including an air compressor, five rolls of wire, approximately 100 batteries, and three wheels and tires—from a garage on the 700-block of W. Gambier Street.

At 8:20 a.m. on Thursday, a victim reported the theft of several items—including a backpack blower—from a residence on the 300-block of Ridgeway Avenue. The lock to the shed and the rear driver-side window of a 2006 Chevy SC2 were also damaged.
