MOUNT VERNON – A Mount Vernon man convicted of aggravated arson was sentenced on Friday to 30 months in prison by Common Pleas Court Judge Otho Eyster. Jason Sowers, 32, was indicted last September by the Knox County Grand Jury on several counts of aggravated arson in connection with a fire last June 16 at a residential building on East Street.
