Upon arrival the scene was marked a working barn fire and mutual aid was requested from Mount Gilead and Mount Vernon. Due to heavy fire and the building condition firefighters went to a defensive mode. Water was pumped from a portable tank and also from a stream south of Route 95, DelCo hydrants, and the Village of Chesterville.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the FCFD.
