MOUNT VERNON – Ariel Corporation announces that it is currently developing a new production facility in the Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority business complex. The 50,000 square foot building, located at 659 Kaiser Drive Ltd., is the first phase of expansion and calls for the hiring of machinists and support personnel from the central Ohio region. The Ariel-Newark facility will increase Ariel’s manufacturing capacity in the production of our reciprocating compressor product line.

In a statement released Wednesday, Ariel says production at this new facility will not affect business or employees in Mount Vernon, other than to support overall capacity.
The facility is slated to begin operations in the 2nd quarter of 2015. At this time, Ariel is in the planning stages of forecasting the number of additional employees required for the expansion, but will be hiring mostly machine tool operators, and maintenance personnel.
