MOUNT VERNON – The Knox County Sheriff’s Office and Fredericktown Police have arrested Aaron C. Paulley, 39, of Fredericktown on charges involving nude photographs of minors after a joint investigation. Knox County Sheriff’s Deputy Dan Bobo, who investigates child victim crimes for Knox County Children Services, reported that Paulley was found to be in possession of nude photographs of a Knox County teenager who was 15 when many of the photos were taken. The investigation began after a tip to Fredericktown Police Chief Roger Brown.
The Knox County Prosecutor’s Office has filed a two-count felony complaint against Paulley in Mount Vernon Municipal Court. The charges against the former youth pastor include Pandering Sexually Oriented Matter Involving a Minor, a fourth-degree felony, and Illegal Use of a Minor in Nudity-Oriented Material, a fifth-degree felony. Paulley is being held in the Knox County Jail. The Municipal Court set bond Friday morning at $10,000.
Knox County Prosecutor Chip McConville stated that the case remains under investigation, and that additional charges are possible.
