MOUNT VERNON – Police Chief Roger Monroe spoke to reporters this morning and provided more information about the officer involved shooting early Saturday morning, December 13, at 14 Plaza Drive. Three officers responded to a domestic violence call to the home.  They had to force entry.  They issued verbal commands and then bean bag rounds were fired, following that a shot was fired that claimed the life of Logan Hall.  Hall died at the scene.

The officers involved in this case are Cpl Reginald Young of the Emergency Services Unit, Patrolman Qade Lewis and Patrolman Zachary Miller. They have been placed on administrative leave.  The MVPD is conducting an internal investigation of the shooting and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) is conducting a separate investigation of what happened.

According to Snyderfuneralhomes.com, Logan Hall was 22 years old. He was born on March 17, 1992 in Mount Vernon, Ohio. Logan enjoyed listening to music, fishing and spending good times with his family and friends.
