Tara Dayton, 36, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 8:55 p.m. on Monday for domestic violence.
William Dilger, 30, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 10:00 p.m. on June 15th for assault.
Chase Sherman, 30, of Mount Vernon was also arrested at 10:00 p.m. on June 15th for assault.
David Matthews, 31, of Mount Vernon was also arrested at 10:00 p.m. on June 15th for assault.
Daniel Dilger, 26, of Mount Vernon was also arrested at 10:00 p.m. on June 15th for assault.
Traffic Citations:
Jason Kelly, 32, of Mount Vernon was cited at 1:00 a.m. on Friday for failing to display required license plates.
Malcom Cornell, 31, of Chillicothe was cited at 3:35 a.m. on Friday for driving under a suspended license.
Barbara Blubaugh, 58, of Brinkhaven was cited at 12:10 p.m. on Friday for failing to assure a clear driving-distance ahead.
Christopher Moore, 53, of Howard was cited at 1:40 p.m. on Friday for running a stop sign.
David English, 54, of Mount Vernon was cited at 5:40 p.m. on Monday for illegal passing.
Accidentsa;
At 5:40 p.m. on Monday, Hugh R. Lamb, 51, of Mount Vernon was traveling south on N. Mulberry Street in a 2013 Mazda. David English, 54, of Mount Vernon was immediately behind her in his 1996 Oldsmobile 98. When Lamb slowed to turn into a driveway, English rear-ended him. English was cited for the incident.
At 1:40 p.m. on Friday, Christopher A. Moore, 53, of Howard was traveling westbound on Pine Street in a 2010 Ford 350 owned by the Knox County Transit Board. James L. Majors, Jr., 60, of Mount Vernon was traveling southbound on S. Main Street in his 1998 Ford 250. Moore failed to yield at the stop sign when he attempted to turn left onto S. Main and struck Majors’s vehicle. Moore was cited for the incident.
At 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Cameron Casper, 37, of Mount Vernon was heading east on W. High Street in his Cadillac CTS. An unknown driver was immediately behind him in a silver Honda Accord. When Casper stopped at the traffic light at the Mulberry Street intersection, the unknown driver rear-ended his vehicle. The unknown driver left the scene of the accident prior to the officer’s arrival.

At noon on Friday, a victim reported the theft of a $300 check at a car dealership on Coshocton Avenue. A suspect was identified.
At 2:35 p.m. on Friday, a victim reported the theft of a Verizon Samsung Galaxy cell phone at the Vernon Ridge Apartments. A suspect was identified.
At 3:50 p.m. on Friday, an officer was dispatched in response to a report of a stolen drain cover at the Orchard Trailer Park on the 700-block of N. Sandusky Street. A suspect was identified.
At 5:00 p.m. on Friday, a victim reported that she was being harassed via telecommunications. A suspect was identified.
At 4:20 p.m. on Friday, a victim reported that several items—including a wallet containing $200-$300 in cash, several debit cards, a child support card, and a driver’s license—was stolen from a 2012 Ford Focus parked on the 100-block of E. High Street. A suspect was identified.
At 1:45 a.m. on Saturday, a victim reported that the front window of a Chrysler Sebring parked on the 200-block of E. Hamtramck Street had been vandalized.
At 3:45 a.m. on Saturday, a victim reported the theft of several items from an apartment on the 300-block of E. Ohio Avenue. Among the missing items were 42 jars of baby food, $90 in miscellaneous change, twenty Aeropostale tank tops, and three white hospital blankets. A suspect was identified.
At 7:45 a.m. on Saturday, a victim reported a burglary and a stolen vehicle on the 1100-block of W. Gambier Street. Missing items included a 2006 Ford 350, a chainsaw, a back-pack blower, and a weed-eater. A suspect was identified.
At 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, a victim reported that his vehicle had been vandalized overnight on the 500-block of E. Gambier Street. A suspect was identified.
At 11:40 a.m. on Saturday, a victim reported the theft of a GE air-conditioner from a residence on the 400-block of N. Sandusky Street. A suspect was identified.
Just before 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a fight at Banana Joe’s bar on W. High Street. Suspects were identified.
At 7:10 a.m. on Monday, an officer responded to an alarm at a residence on the 100-block of Progress Drive. The owner informed him that he had reset the alarm after a power outage, which set it off.
At 10:10 a.m. on Monday, a victim reported the theft of a stacked Frigidaire washer and dryer from a residence on Brook Run Court. A suspect was identified.
At 10:10 a.m. on Monday, $160-$200 was reported missing from a staff member’s wallet at the juvenile probation office. A suspect was identified.
At 3:50 p.m. on Monday, a victim reported the theft of a Playstation 3 video game console and several games (including NHL 2014, Black Ops, and Borderlands 2) from a residence on the 300-block of Cottage Street. A suspect was identified.
At 3:45 p.m. on Monday, a victim reported the unauthorized use of a 2004 Ford Taurus. A suspect was identified.
At 4:10 p.m. on Monday, an assault was reported on the 000-block of Third Avenue. A suspect was identified.
Just before 6:00 p.m. on Monday, a domestic disturbance was reported on the 000-block of McGibney Road. Suspects were identified.
At 7:00 p.m. on Monday, an activated alarm was reported at The Factory Link on the 100-block of Ohio Avenue.
