Charges
Amanda Jones, 31, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 7:30 a.m. on Friday for a dog running at large.
A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested at 1:45 a.m. on Friday for a curfew violation.
Stephen Parker, 50, of Mount Vernon was arrested at noon on Friday for criminal damaging or endangering persons and for persistent disorderly conduct.
A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested at 8:20 a.m. on Friday for disorderly conduct. Drugs were involved.
Sean Wible, 25, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 4:35 p.m. on Saturday for several counts of theft from a vehicle and vehicular trespassing.
Natasha Campbell, 31, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 7:05 a.m. on Saturday for persistent disorderly conduct. She was also charged with a probation violation.
Conor Pollock, 21, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday for criminal damaging or endangering property.
Traffic Violations
Allan Hanson, 54, of Granville was cited just before 7:00 a.m. on Friday for speeding.
Tammy Shearn, 54, of Warsaw was arrested at 6:25 p.m. on Friday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Trenton Creager, 21, of Mount Vernon was cited at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday for failure to control his vehicle and for failing to stop after a crash.
Accidents
At 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, Trenton Creager, 21, of Mount Vernon was traveling westbound on E. Chestnut Street in her 2002 Mercury Mountaineer. He lost control of her vehicle while turning left on N. Edgewood Road, struck the curb, exited the roadway, then struck a mailbox and a residence. Creager then left the scene, heading southbound on N. Edgewood Road. He was cited for the incident.
At 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Michael C. Malick, 47, of Columbus was traveling eastbound in the Wal-Mart parking lot in his Jeep Grand Cherokee. Rita K. Beck, 77, of Mount Vernon was heading westbound through the lot in her 2007 Chrysler Sebring. Malick cut across some marked parking spaces and struck Beck’s vehicle.
Incidents
At 7:30 a.m. on Friday, officers responded to a report of a dog-at-large near the intersection of E. Gambier and S. Catherine streets.
At 7:40 a.m. on Friday, an officer responded to a reported theft at the Country Court Nursing Home. Among the missing itemswere a brown cloth wallet containing a checkbook, social security card, and several insurance cards. A suspect was identified.
At 2:30 p.m. on Friday, a disturbance was reported at a residence on the 900-block of Harcourt Road. A suspect was identified and charged.
At 7:40 p.m. on Friday, an officer responded to a report of child endangerment at a residence on the 700-block of N. Sandusky Street.
At 8:30 p.m. on Friday, an officer was dispatched to an apartment on the 000-block of McGibney Road on report of a juvenile possibly using drugs. A suspect was identified.
At 12:15 a.m. on Saturday, officers responded to an activated business alarm at the Goodwill store on Coshocton Avenue. The building appeared secure and there was no sign of damage. A keyholder soon arrived and allowed the officers to check the interior. It was also found to be secure and in-order. They reset the alarm and left the scene.
At 1:15 a.m. on Saturday, an officer responded to a disturbance at a residence on the 000-block of Marion Street. A suspect was identified.
At 4:35 a.m. on Saturday, an officer responded to a report of theft from a vehicle on the 900-block of W. Chestnut Street. Missing items included a Pioneer car stereo, its faceplate, and a pack of fifteen glow sticks. A suspect was identified and charged.
At 4:35 a.m. on Saturday, officers were dispatched to W. Chestnut Street in response to reports of a male breaking into cars. A suspect was identified and several items—including a pink book bag (containing miscellaneous items, phone cords, lotion, and a board game), miscellaneous papers, registration and insurance cards, several items of mail, a car stereo, a Stanley 123-piece toolset, a first aid kit, an Ohio map, a folding pocket knife, and a multi-colored glass marijuana pipe—were recovered as evidence. A suspect was identified and charged.
At 7:05 a.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a disturbance at an apartment on the 200-block of Shirley Avenue. A suspect was identified and charged.
At 8:40 a.m. on Saturday, the MVPD was contacted regarding a syringe found on the 800-block of W. Chestnut Street. It was labeled “Sodium Chloride” and no needle was attached.
At 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, a theft was reported at the Wal-Mart. Missing items included a Kindle Fire, purse, bank card, driver’s license and set of car keys. A suspect was identified.
At 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, an incident of domestic violence was reported on the 000-block of Miami Street. A suspect was identified and charged.
At 10:55 p.m. on Saturday, a disorderly juvenile was reported on the 700-block of N. Sandusky Street. A suspect was identified.
At 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, officers were dispatched to the Five Point Drive-Thru on report of a burglary in progress. An exterior door had been broken and a suspect was identified and charged.
At 8:45 a.m. on Sunday, a victim reported a theft from her 1996 Oldsmobile on the 1000-block of W. Chestnut Street. A suspect was identified and several items—including some cassette tapes, a manual to a 2006 Chevy Equinox, a ping USB cable, a phone charger, and a pair or Arnette sunglasses.
At 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, a raccoon was reported to be “acting strangely” on the 1100-block of W. Vine Street.
At 11:55 p.m. on Sunday, an employee of the United Dairy Farmers store reported that someone had stolen five 23.5-ounce cans of Four Loko alcohol. These included three cans of UVA Berry flavor, one can of peach, and one can of fruit punch. A suspect was identified and the Four Loko was recovered.
