MOUNT VERNON – The City has announced the hiring of Joel Daniels, Mount Vernon, to fill the newly created position of Property Maintenance. Enforcement Officer. Daniels will start Monday, July 21st. Daniels previously worked for the city as Safety-Service Director from January 1996 until August of 2005. From there he served as Vice President for Extended Campuses and New Business Development at Central Ohio Technical College. Most recently Daniels coordinated Adult Education programs at the Knox County Career Center.
Daniels educational background includes an MBA from Indiana University, MA from the Ohio State University and a BA from Ohio University.
Previously, the code enforcement officer was a part-time position. But this newly-created position is full time.
