Arrests: Jessica Ferenbaugh, 27, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday for shoplifting from the Wal-Mart.

Traffic Violations: Joshua Disbennet, 29, of Mount Gilead was cited at 11:05 a.m. on Thursday for driving under a suspended license. Stolen property—including a set of tractor weights—was recovered.

Accidents: At 2:10 p.m. on Thursday, Frank W. Focht, 90, of Fredericktown was backing his 2006 sedan out of a parking space in the Autumn Health Care parking lot on Gambier Road. Eric James Ackerman, 29, of Grove City was pulling his 2013 Range Rover from a spot across the aisle at the same time. Focht saw Ackerman coming and blew his horn. Ackerman failed to notice and struck Focht’s vehicle.

At 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, Karen S. McDonald-Smith, 59, of Howard was traveling northbound on Cougar Drive on the MVNU campus in her 2013 Subaru Crosstek. She failed to control her vehicle, left the roadway on the right, struck a boulder on the curb, continued off the roadway, and hit a tree.

Incidents: At 2:00 p.m. on Monday, a victim reported a burglary at his residence on the 800-block of N. Gay Street. Among the items taken was a Savage Arms .22 rifle with scope, 10-round clip, and case, a New England 270 rifle with scope, bi-pod, and case, two diamond rings, and forty dollars in cash. A suspect was identified.

At 4:25 p.m. on Thursday, a victim came to the MVPD and reported that she was being harassed. A suspect was identified.

Just before 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, a Wal-Mart employee requested an officer regarding a female shoplifter. The suspect was arrested.

At 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, a complainant reported the corruption of a minor. A suspect was identified.

Just after 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, officers responded to an alarm at the Mid-Ohio Transit Authority. The exterior and interior appeared undisturbed and a keyholder arrived to reset the alarm.
