MOUNT VERNON – Congressman Bob Gibbs (R) whose district includes Knox County held a telephone town hall meeting Wednesday night. Callers were given the opportunity to ask questions on any topic. Among the questions raised was one about health care coverage. When asked about why the public can’t get the same healthcare coverage as Congress, Gibbs said he signed up for Obamacare, that he “hates it” and that his premiums went up 40%. He says it’s a misnomer that members of Congress get free healthcare.
