MOUNT VERNON – An employee at the Mount Vernon Big Lots store confirmed a published report that the store will be closing due to the landlord not renewing the lease. Manager Kris Klecka says the store is trying to find jobs for their 22 employees in other Big Lots stores nearby. They have to be out by mid-March. He says they are selling off their inventory now.
