At around 9:40 a.m. on Monday, the owner of a rental property on the 2700-block of Apple Valley Drive in Danville, reported that someone had broken the inside pane of a basement window while the house was vacant.  The damage occurred sometime between December 15, 2013 and January 13, 2014.

At around 4:00 p.m. on Monday, a Gambier resident reported to Kenyon College’s Campus Safety Office that she had found a multi-colored glass pipe on the sidewalk of Kenyon property.  The pipe was collected and turned over to a deputy to be destroyed.

Just before 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, a victim reported that his ATV had been stolen from a residence on Gessling Road in Glenmont sometime overnight.  The 1995-96 Polaris Sportsman 500 ATV had been parked at the end of his driveway, not locked but with the keys removed.  The deputy observed that the ATV had been moved from the driveway into a field where it appeared to have been loaded onto a trailer or small wheeled-vehicle.  The ground was very wet and no tire or ground impressions could be photographed.  The victim could not provide the VIN number but told the deputy that he might be able to obtain it from his father.  The ATV was described as OD green in color, with a large rack on the back, a Glacier snow plow, a winch, a windshield, a spotlight, and a horn.

At around 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, deputies served an active warrant issued by Richland County on Lee Scott Oliver, 41, of Utica.  Oliver was arrested and transported to the Richland County line and was released into the custody of the Richland County Sheriff’s Office.

At around 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, deputies served a warrant on Jonathon E. Hinger, 22, of Utica at his residence.  Hinger was arrested and taken to the Knox County Jail without incident.

On Sunday afternoon, a deputy was dispatched to a residence on the 000-block of Cleveland Avenue.  A victim had repored that someone had stolen several tools from his residence.  The victim noted that he was missing a circular saw, a drill, and a ratchet set.  He noted that he knew of only two other persons (besides himself) having been in the residence and, while they were moving out of the house, the victim did not see either of them leave with the tools.  He advised also that he had not given anyone permission to take, borrow, or use the tools.
