Thomas A. Carlson, a homeless man, was charged at 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday with disorderly conduct at the McDonalds on Newark Road. He was then picked up for a parole violation.
Traffic Violations:
Von L. Baughman, 44, of Sheldon, WI was cited at 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday for failing to drive within marked lanes.
Gordon Armstrong, 60, of Mount Vernon was cited at around 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday for failing to drive within marked lanes.
Accidents
At around 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Michael S. Anton, 59, of Mount Vernon was heading eastbound on Phillips Drive in his 1994 Dodge 1500 and attempted to turn south onto S. Main Street from the right lane. Von L. Baughman, 64, of Sheldon, WI was also heading eastbound on Phillips Drive in a semi-truck and attempted to turn south onto S. Main Street from the left lane. In the process, Baughman’s trailer crossed over the center line and struck Anton’s vehicle. Baughman was cited for the incident.
At 10:10 a.m. on Wednesday, Alyssa M. Fry, 19, of Danville backed her 1995 Ford 250 out of a parking spot in the Advanced Auto Parts lot and struck an unattended 196 Saturn owned by Danielle Amerine. Fry then left the scene.
At around 5:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Gordon W. Armstrong, 60, of Mount Vernon was heading northbound on Martinsburg Road in his 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Katelyn Williams, 17, of Mount Vernon was heading southbound on Martinsburg Road in a 2002 Buick Century. Armstrong crossed the center line and struck Williams’s vehicle. According to the report, Armstrong told an officer that he had been attempting to clean his windshield using the windshield wipers and lost vision, which prompted him to leave his lane. Armstrong was cited for the incident.
Incidents:
At around 12:15 a.m. on Wednesday, an officer responded to an alarm at the Moose Lodge on W. High Street. A keyholder arrived at the scene and accompanied an MVPD officer as they checked the interior of the building. Everything appeared in order both inside and outside the building.
At 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, MVFD personnel requested an officer at the McDonalds on Newark Road. A suspect was identified and charged with disorderly conduct.
At 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, an officer responded to a report of vandalism at a resident on the 600-block of E. Hamtramck Street.
At around 11:40 a.m. on Wednesday, a victim reported that someone had stolen her $200 Beats by Dre Pill speakers while at the Bob Evans restaurant.
At 6:20 p.m. on Wednesday, a mother requested an officer regarding an incident with her son.
