MOUNT VERNON — The 2013 Food for the Hungry Drive wrapped up December 14th but donations continue to come in. Drive Coordinator Sandy Rhoton reports this year’s goal of 175,000 and 50 truckloads of food has been surpassed and now stands at $200,045.28 and 63.9 truckloads of food.
The food and funds raised will be distributed to Interchurch Social Services and the Salvation Army as well as other organizations who distribute food to the needy in our community.
