FREDERICKTOWN — The 12th Annual Fredericktown Christmas Walk commemorative ornament has been released and is available for purchase. The design this year depicts the Cannon on the Square. Previous ornaments have featured the Village Gazebo, the feed mill, the Historical Society building, the old school, the Bicentennial emblem, a Christmas scene, the Ball clock, the old village firehouse, a horse and carriage, and the Foundry Bell.

The ornaments are paid for, in part, by a donation from the Fredericktown Village Council and will be for sale at local Fredericktown businesses throughout the Christmas season, for a donation of $20. These local businesses are:  Fredericktown Farm & Garden, Huff’s Fine Jewelers, A Taste of Country, and the Fredericktown Community Library. Ornaments will be for sale during the Christmas Walk on Sunday, Dec. 8 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church (entrance near the gazebo).

The first three ornaments will be auctioned off during the Food For The Hungry Charity Auction on Sunday, Dec. 8 at the Senior Citizens Center starting at 1 p.m. For more information, please contact the Village office at (740) 694-9010 or Shari Miller by email  smiller@fredychevy.com. All proceeds from the sale of this ornament will be used to support the efforts of the Fredericktown Salvation Army and Interchurch Social Services.
