Robert Cain, 22, of Ashville was charged just before 4:00 a.m. on Saturday with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kenneth D. Shira III, 38, of Loudonville was cited at around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday for an open container violation. 

Jason N. Hogan, 19, of Mount Vernon was arrested just before 1:00 a.m. on a warrant issued for his failure to comply with probation requirements.

Timothy Llewellyn, 18, of Mount Vernon was charged with misuse of a credit card.

Scott K. Sowders, 50, of Mount Vernon was cited at around 6:20 p.m. on Friday for operating a vehicle under the influence. He refused to take a BAC test—and was cited also for a prior refusal. He was also charged with domestic violence.

Robert M. Cain, 22, of Mount Vernon was charged just before 4:00 a.m. on Saturday with several counts of receiving stolen property and with possession of marijuana.

Vienza Thompson, 41, of Mount Vernon was charged just before 1:00 a.m. on Sunday with domestic violence.

Traffic Violations:

Stacey Butcher, 26, of Utica was cited for speeding just after noon on Sunday.

David L. McNamara, 62, of Mount Vernon was cited just after noon for operating a vehicle without a valid license and for operating a vehicle with an expired registration.

Accidents:

At around 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Carol Holtrey, 67, of Fredericktown ran her 2011 Cadillac Escalade into a light-pole in the Kroger parking lot.

At around noon on Friday, Jennifer L. Curtis, 41, of Newark had backed her 2012 GMC Acadia out of a parking space in the parking lot of the McDonalds on Newark Road and began driving east. David McNamara, 62, of Mount Vernon backed his 1998 Plymouth Voyager out of an opposite parking space and struck Curtis’s vehicle. McNamara was cited after the incident.

Incidents:

At 9:30 a.m. on Friday, an officer responded to a residential alarm at an apartment on the 200-block of Shirley Avenue. The tenant informed him that everything was fine and that he had been having issues with his cat tripping the security alarm.

At around 10:40 a.m. on Friday, a resident reported a found men’s mountain bike on the 600-block of N. Sandusky Street. It was taken into custody by the MVPD.

At around 6:00 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to an alarm at the Knox County Health Department. Further details were not available.

At around 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a residential alarm on the 1400-block of N. Mulberry Street. They found the exterior of the building secure but could not reach the owner in person or via phone.

At around 5:40 p.m. on Saturday, officers caught several juveniles trespassing in an abandoned building on the 300-block of N. Mulberry Street.

At around 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, officers responded to a domestic disturbance on Oberlin Street. Suspects were identified.
