At around 10:00 a.m. on Friday, a victim advised a deputy that someone had stolen his black 1993 Jeep Cherokee during the previous night. It was parked at his home on Mishey Road in Fredericktown with a half-tank of gas and the keys in the ignition. He reported also that the Jeep had no front license-plate, only a driver’s seat, was lifted, and had a homemade front bumper. Whoever took it drove the Jeep across the owner’s yard instead of using the driveway. The vehicle was entered into LEADS and a report was taken.
At 12:45 p.m. on Friday, a resident of Rutledge Road in Howard reported someone had entered a barn on his property during the previous week and removed a tractor battery and two tractor weights.
At around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, a victim noticed items missing from his father’s gravesite at Memorial Gardens on Coshocton Road.
Just before 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, a resident of Glenview Drive in Howard reported that someone had slashed her vehicle’s tire while it was parked in her driveway overnight.
At around 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, deputies arrested Larry J. Butler Jr., 25, of Gambier on an outstanding warrant. He was taken to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office without incident.
