Matthew L. Morrison, 29, of Mount Vernon was charged at 10:50 p.m. with disorderly conduct at the emergency room at Knox Community Hospital.

Scott D. Paul, Jr., 18, of Mount Vernon was charged at 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday with criminal trespassing behind the Amvets post.

Charles R. Pealer, 36,, of Mount Vernon was also charged at 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday with criminal trespassing behind the Amvets post.

Shannon A Kemp, 32, of Mount Vernon was picked up just after 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday for an outstanding warrant.

 

Traffic Violations:

Lacy Michelle Ross, 20, of Mount Vernon was cited at around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday for failing to assure a clear driving distance ahead.

Ladonna L. Pope, 63, of Newark, was cited at around 5:40 p.m. on Wednesday for speeding (50 in a 35 mph zone).

Incidents:

At around 12:20 a.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to a business alarm at Auto Zone on Coshocton Avenue.  They found the exterior of the business secure and everything appeared to be in order.  No keyholder was available so the officers left the scene.

Just after midnight on Wednesday, a resident on the 700-block of Follin Avenue reported an instance of disorderly conduct.  A suspect was identified.

At around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, an officer discovered two male suspects trespassing on the railroad tracks/bridge behind the Amvets post on S. Mechanic Street.  They were identified and charged.

At around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, a victim reported that she had been assaulted at her residence on Taylor Road.  A suspect was identified.

At 3:40 p.m. on Wednesday, G.R. Smith & Company reported that a red Toro snow-blower valued at $849.00 had been stolen.

At around 5:10 p.m. on Wednesday, a probation officer located drugs and drug paraphernalia during a house-check at a residence on the 100-block of N. Mulberry Street.  A glass pipe, some marijuana, some poppy seeds, and a grinder were recovered at the scene.

At around 5:10 p.m. on Wednesday, an employee of the Duke & Duchess Shoppe reported that someone had driven off without paying for 8.238 gallons of gasoline valued at $28.00.

At around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, an antique 1982 Morgan Silver Dollar coin was reported stolen from Farley & Moore on S. Main.

At around 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, a victim reported having received a bad check.  A suspect was identified.
