Arrests:
Robert E. Smith, 27, of Mount Vernon was charged just after noon on Wednesday with theft, possession of criminal tools, criminal mischief, and obstructing official business at the Gay Street United Methodist Church.
Joshua Bishop, 25, of Warsaw was charged at around 5:40 p.m. on Wednesday with petty theft from the Wal-Mart.
Shevin Hammond, 19, of Bellville was charged at 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday with possession of drug paraphernalia at the Wal-Mart.
Traffic Violations:
Joan M. Sells, 50, of Mount Vernon was cited just before 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday for running a stop-sign.
Tony L. Baucum, 27, of Mount Vernon was cited last Sunday (10/6/13) for failing to assure a clear driving distance ahead.
Hayley A. Hauenstein, 26, of Mount Vernon was cited just after 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday for running a stop-sign.
Trevor Spearman, 27, of Mount Vernon was cited at around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday for driving under a suspended license.

Incidents:
At 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, an officer discovered that that the main entrance doors of the Lakeholm Church of the Nazarene had been left unsecured. He conducted a walk-thru of the premises and found that everything appeared to be in order. An MVNU security officer responded to the scene, reset the alarm, and secured the building.
Just after 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to a report of a violent juvenile at the Learning Center on W. Vine Street. A suspect was identified.
At around 10:40 a.m. on Wednesday, several narcotics—including 92 percocet tablets—were reported missing from the Knox Community Hospital. A suspect was identified.
Just after noon on Wednesday, officers responded to a report of a theft from the Gay Street United Methodist Church. A suspect was identified and charged. Items discovered at the scene included a small black folding-knife, a red-and-black screwdriver, an Atomix digital clock, and an orange T-shirt.
Just after 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, an employee of Shoe Sensation reported that a suspect had shoplifted a pair of pink-and-yellow Osiris high-tops valued at $80.00.
At 6:30 a.m. on Monday, a resident of the 500-block of E. Vine Street reported that her vehicle had been vandalized and her hood-release had been damaged.
At 5:40 p.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to a reported shoplifter at Wal-Mart. A suspect was identified and charged. Several items, including earrings, Versace cologne, Dolce&Gabana cologne, a hoodie, and seven clonazepam tablets were recovered at the scene.
At 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to a report of a fight and an unconscious male at a residence on the 100-block of McGibney Road. A suspect was identified.
At around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, a disturbance was reported at the Wal-Mart. A suspect was identified and charged and a glass marijuana pipe was recovered at the scene.
