MOUNT VERNON – Mayor Richard Mavis announced that plans are moving forward for Panera Bread to locate in Mount Vernon. The proposed site is on Coshocton Road adjacent to Aldi and Wal-Mart. No word yet on how many jobs the new Panera will bring to the area. Mavis says ground will be broken soon.
According to their website, Panera Bread offers bagels, breakfast sandwiches, pasta & soups, panini and pastries. The company says they “give back to local communities by donating our time and dollars to the fight against hunger.”
