MOUNT VERNON-The Columbus Dispatch is reporting that one of two people charged has pleaded guilty in the death of a Mount Vernon man whose body was found this year in a burned-out apartment on Shirley Avenue.
Amber Pilotti, 32, pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence, gross abuse of a corpse, aggravated arson and complicity to commit felonious assault.
Knox County Prosecutor John Thatcher dropped two other charges — complicity to commit murder and a second aggravated-arson charge. In exchange, Pilotti is to testify against her co-defendant, Jedidiah Lang, 32.
