Arrests and Charges:

James R. Byall, 39, of Mount Vernon was charged just after 7:00 p.m. on Saturday with child endangerment.

Shawn M. Garrad, 23, of Mount Vernon was charged just past 6:00 p.m. on Saturday with a probation violation.

Michael Meadows, 36, of Mount Vernon was picked up at around 1:00 a.m. on Sunday for an outstanding warrant issued by Medina County.

James R. Byall, 39, of Mount Vernon was charged just after 7:00 p.m. on Saturday with several counts of domestic violence.

Accidents:

At 3:10 p.m. on Friday, Tamara K. Church, 57, of Mount Vernon was parked on W. High Street.  When she attempted to back her 2008 Mitsubishi Expo out onto the roadway, she struck a van driven by Tamara S. Cline, 53, of Gambier, which was stationary on High Street waiting for traffic.  Church was cited for the incident.

At around 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, Konnor M. Fisher, 21, of Mount Gilead was heading southbound in the right lane of N. Mulberry Street in his 2003 Saturn Ion.  He decided to turn left and struck a 2005 Chevy Cobalt driven by Torren Wagner, 43, of Fredericktown, which was in the left lane.  Fisher was cited for the incident.

At around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Rachel R. Robinson, 28, of Mount Vernon was pulling out of the Mount Vernon High School Football Stadium parking lot but stopped to wait for traffic.  Greg Denis, in his 2005 Mercury, approached from behind, failed to notice that Robinson had stopped, and rear-ended her 2006 Jeep Cherokee.

 

Incidents:

At 6:20 p.m. on Friday, a Copenhagan can containing marijuana was found on the 400-block of N. Jefferson Street.  A suspect was identified.

At around 2:00 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to a fight at a residence on the 000-block of Mansfield Avenue.  Suspects were identified and charged.  Seven empty packs of V8 and one pack of V8 containing a “substance” were recovered at the scene.

Just after 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, an officer responded to a report of a vandalized Toyota Camry on the 100-block of E. Curtis Street.

At around 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a disturbance at Riverside Park.  Suspects were identified.

Just after 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, the MVPD was contacted regarding a disturbance that started near the library.  Suspects were identified.

At 6:15 p.m. on Sunday, officers responded to a report of an intoxicated woman at Bullock’s on W. High Street.  A suspect was identified.

 

Traffic Citations:

 

Layken Purdy, 18, of Howard was cited at around 5:15 p.m. on Thursday for failure to control her vehicle.

 

Clifford L. Conner, 29, of Millersburg was cited just before 11:00 a.m. for failing to assure a clear driving distance ahead.

 

Christina A. Lang, 40, of Mount Vernon was cited at around 6:15 p.m. on Sunday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

 

Konnor Fisher, 21, of Mount Gilead was cited at around 8:45 a.m. on Saturday for making an illegal turn at an intersection.

 

Isaac Glancy, 36, of Mount Vernon was cited at around 2:45 a.m. on Saturday for driving under a suspended license.

 

Tamara K. Church, 57, of Mount Vernon was cited at 3:10 p.m. on Friday for backing her vehicle without insuring it was safe to do so.
