Arrests:
Carol D. Gallagher, 25, of Mount Vernon was picked up just before 8:45 p.m. on Thursday for a parole violation at the Urgent Care.
John I. Osborne, 29, was picked up at 3:10 a.m. on Friday for an outstanding warrant. He was taken into custody at the Morrow county line.
Samantha L. Hunt, 20, of Mount Vernon was charged at 2:30 a.m. on Saturday with assault at Banana Joe’s. She was charged also with selling alcohol to underage patrons.
Daniel Reed, 33, of Fredericktown was cited at around 12:45 p.m. on Saturday for driving with an expired registration tag.
Christopher C. Creech, 44, of Mount Vernon was cited just after 2:00 a.m. on Sunday for driving under a suspended license. He was cited also for driving the wrong-way on a one-way street and for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Jerry L. Tinsley Jr., 21, of Mount Vernon was charged at around 11:00 p.m. with domestic violence.
Richard T. Garden, 21, of Howard was cited at around 1:00 p.m. for failure to yield.
Kyle Byrne, 18, of Mount Vernon was cited at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday for failing to assure a clear driving-distance ahead.
Brian D. Jose, 31, of Mount Vernon was charged at around 9:45 p.m. on Friday with petty theft from the Wal-Mart.
Accidents
At around 7:40 p.m. on May 28th, Vicki J. Fridenmaker, 61, of Howard was traveling westbound on Coshocton Avenue near Upper Gilchrist Road in a 2012 Toyota Rav4. Douglas Boyd Jr., 17, of Utica was heading in the same direction in a 1994 Mazda B2000, rear-ended Fridenmaker’s vehicle, and then left the area. An officer contacted Boyd later but he claimed to be unable to remember anything from that day or night. He declined also to write out a statement. Fridenmaker and a passenger positively identified Boyd as the driver out of a photo line-up last Monday. Boyd was charged for the incident.
Incidents
At around 5:30 a.m. on Friday, a resident of the 1000-block of W. Vine Street reported that her home had been vandalized. A great deal of ketchup was involved and a suspect was identified.
At around 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday, an officer was dispatched to Wal-Mart to deal with a shoplifter identified as Brian Jose. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that this was not the first time that the suspect had allegedly stolen from the Wal-Mart. He was alleged to have been in the store and committed theft on July 2nd as well. A security video was provided to the MVPD. Among the items the suspect is alleged to have taken were two TV wall-mounts valued at $178.96.
At around 1:00 p.m. last Saturday (7-12-13) officers responded to a possible bicycle theft on the 100-block of N. Gay Street.
Just before 7:30 p.m. on Friday, an employee of the Duke & Duchess Shoppe reported that someone had driven off without paying for 8.115 gallons of gasoline valued at $30.00.
At around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, a victim reported that she was assaulted outside of Banana Joe’s. A suspect was identified and charged.
At around 12:40 p.m. on Saturday, a resident of the 600-block of Howard Street reported the theft of $30.00 worth of trampoline parts.
At 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, a resident of the 700-block of E. High Street reported the theft of a blue metal gazing-ball from his yard. The gazing-ball was valued at $45.00.
At around 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, an employee of the Duke & Duchess Shoppe reported that someone had driven off without paying for $20.01 worth of diesel fuel. The suspect was identified as a male driving a black pick-up.
Just before 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, officers responded to a report of a theft from a 1998 Ford Contour parked on the 200-block of E. Burgess Street. Among the items taken were the vehicle’s registration and insurance paperwork, a map, and $40.00 in cash.
