MOUNT VERNON – The Mount Vernon City Recreation Board and the Kokosing Valley Community Tennis Association announce that registration for their summer tennis lessons have begun.

All Knox County, Clear Fork, and North Fork school districts’ students are welcome. The lessons will be at Mount Vernon’s Memorial Park tennis courts.

Lessons for three age groups will be offered. The age groups are determined by the grade that a player will be attending starting next August. The age groups are kindergarten through third grade; fourth and fifth grade and sixth through ninth grade.

The lessons will be offered on Monday and Wednesday morning for four weeks. The first day of the lessons will be Monday, June 29. The lessons will be offered at 9a.m. for Kindergarten to 3rd graders; 10 a.m. for grades 4 and 5; and 11 a.m. for grades 6 to 9.

Social distancing practices will be implemented. Specific information is given during the registration process.

The number of participants is limited for safety. Additional sessions will be offered if the number of participants warrants it. If you find that a session is closed during registration, contact Steve Tier at mvtennis@yahoo.com to be placed on a waiting list.
