MOUNT VERNON -- If you have a student in your family who is playing sports this fall and needs a physical exam, the Knox County Community Health Center is offering a walk-in clinic on Wednesday from 7:20 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. the health center which is located inside the Knox County Health Department, 11660 Upper Gilchrist Road

The sports physical clinic is conducted on a walk-in basis. No appointment is necessary. There is a $20 fee for the exam. The health center accepts cash, checks and debit/credit cards for payment. Due to the discounted cost, insurance or

Medicaid will not be accepted as payment during this special clinic.

Students need to bring necessary paperwork provided by the school sports program. Students are also encouraged to bring their immunization record. If students are not accompanied by a parent, they should have their consent form signed by a parent prior to attending the clinic to authorize the provider to perform the exam.

A another walk-in clinic for sports physicals is planned for July 31. For more information, contact the health center at 740-399-8008.
