DANVILLE – This week, reporter Grant Pepper spoke with Danville head coach Ed Honabarger and senior quarterback Charlie Cook about the Blue Devils' Week 2 matchup at Loudonville on Friday night.

Both Danville and Loudonville began the season with losses last week. Danville fell to Lucas at home, 32-12. The Blue Devils were held scoreless in the first half, but they narrowed the Lucas lead to 6 in the fourth quarter. The experienced Cubs converted on two big plays late in the game, however, to put things out of reach.

Loudonville lost at home to Crestview, 9-7. The Cougars scored on a 78-yard touchdown pass with 4:03 remaining, and Loudonville couldn't answer. Crestview held Loudonville's patented power-run offense, which carried them to the playoffs last year, to just 166 rushing yards last week.

Both teams will be hungry for their first win of the season on Friday night. Kickoff will be at 7 p.m. from Redbird Stadium.
