BELLVILLE — Senior quarterback Brennan South had a night, and so did the Clear Fork defense.

South hit 14 of 17 passes for 284 yards and five TDs to four different receivers as the Colts hammered Fredericktown on Friday night.

Clear Fork rolled to a 21-0 first-period lead and expanded the gap to 49-0 at halftime. The entire second half was played with a running clock.

The Freddies managed just three first downs, and one of those came via penalty. The Colts defense proved stifling in not allowing Fredericktown to dent the scoreboard.
