As COVID-19 continues to dominate our daily lives in Ohio, more people are having to make the decision of whether or not to wear a mask to prevent the spread of the virus.

We know this is a complicated issue – humans are complicated – and we want to better understand where our community stands right now.

We’ve created a quick, ANONYMOUS survey that will allow you to share your thoughts. We’re hoping to collect as many opinions as possible in one place and report that data back to you. So please, take two minutes and share your thoughts with us. We hope this survey will allow everyone to express their views privately and peacefully, outside the context of a frustrating Facebook thread.

The survey will close at the end of the day Sunday, July 26. We will report back the following week. Additionally, if you have a question about masks or something you’d like us to look into, you can tell us in the box below the survey.

At the time of publishing this survey (July 17), Richland County has moved to a “red,” or Level 3 status, which mandates facial coverings be worn at all times while in public. Ashland, Crawford and Knox counties remained yellow this week, or level one, and there is no current mandate from the state for wearing facial coverings.

Thank you for participating. As always, our readers are our top priority.

Take the survey here, or in the box below.
