Worthy E. “Two Feathers” Stanley Jr. brother to the Bear, age 71, of Mount Vernon passed away on Monday, July 8, 2019 at his home.
He was born on May 8, 1948 in Hogsett, West Virginia to the late Worthy and Rose (Turner) Stanley Sr. Worthy was retired from the United States Army after 32 years of service. He served in the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his ex-wife Theresa Sovine; his daughter Ida Stanley; his step-daughters, Sioux Irene Sovine, Heidi Varner; and his step-son Michael Robinson. In keeping with Worthy’s wishes, there will be no calling hours.
The family will observe a private memorial gathering at the family home. The Knox County Joint Veteran’s Council will perform military honors at the private gathering.
