Vivian P. Riffle, 86, of Mount Vernon passed away Monday morning, January 14, 2019 at her home. She was born on June 7, 1932 in Bellaire to the late William C. and Pearl H. (Moffitt) Parker.

Vivian was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and was attending the Lakeholm Church of the Nazarene in Mount Vernon.

Vivian is survived by her children, Dr. Dana C. (Nita) Riffle, Dr. Douglas W. Riffle and Denise E. Riffle of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Danae Riffle, Darcie (Levi) Hundley, Dalayna Riffle, Dylan Riffle, Samuel Riffle and Spencer Riffle; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Denver E. Riffle; daughter, Susan J. Riffle; a daughter-in-law, Kimberly S. (Engel) Riffle; and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Russell (Helen) Parker and Donald (Elsie) Parker

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Rd., Mount Vernon. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 at the First Church of the Nazarene, 807 Coshocton Ave, Mount Vernon with Rev. F.H. Bolerjack officiating. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2019 in the Jacksontown Cemetery.
