Robert Wayne Spears, 76, of Fredericktown, OH, passed away March 11, 2023, at Knox Community Hospital, in Mount Vernon.
Wayne was born November 27th, 1946, in Columbus, OH to James Otmer and Flonnie Jane (Randolph) Spears.
A graduate of Columbus North High School, Wayne spent 2 years in the military and later married Bobbi Anne Hall on August 25th, 1979.Â
He drove for COTA in Columbus and retired from there in 2005. Â A member of Ohio State Pony of the Americas Club, he liked showing horses, gardening, and anything outdoors, especially yard sales. He loved to watch wrestling and was a BIG Cleveland Browns fan. Â He loved spending time with his grandchildren and he loved his extended family and was close to many of them.Â
Wayne will be deeply missed by his wife; children Bryan (Jennifer) Hall, Allyson (Christopher) Cardwell, Heather (Brett West) Spears; grandchildren Jocelyn (JJ) Hall, Gavin Keener, Addison Keener, Sophia Trice, Alex Cardwell, Jaxon Ward, Finley Ward and Hazel West; brothers Dale (Joy) Spears, Lee Spears, Nolan (Carol) Spears; sisters Blondena Fisher, Janet (Don) Brooks, sister-in-law Susan (Matt) Banks and many nieces and nephews.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Charles Gary Spears, William Otmer Spears, Doyle Franklin Spears, Richard Mark Spears, sisters Betty Louise Spears, Vesta May Murphy, Maggie Annabelle Butler, as well as some nieces, nephews and in-laws and a close friend Roger Marcum.Â
