Richard Steele, age 90 of Howard, OH, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Whispering Hills Care Center.
He was born on November 3, 1928 in Harshaw, Wisconsin, the son of George and Mildred (Bailey) Steele. Richard had been employed with Velvet Ice Cream as a truck driver and was a member of the Colonial City Moose Lodge #2555.
Richard served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a devoted father that will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughters; Cindi (Ed) French and Renae (David) Devich, six grandchildren; two great-grandsons; a brother, Jack (Carol) Steele and a sister, Nancy (Ron) Bortz.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Craig Steele and two sisters, Barbara Dunday and Beverly Seuer.
The family will observe a private graveside service in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Richard Steele.
