Richard A. “Dick” Yarman Sr., 85, of Fredericktown passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on Oct. 2, 1932 in Morrow County, Ohio to the late Murrell and Ava (Corwin) Yarman. Dick retired from Hydraulic Press Manufacturing (HPM) in Mount Gilead after many years of service. He was a veteran serving in the United States Navy during the Korean War.

He is survived by two sons, Dick (Edie) Yarman Jr., Mark (Kathie) Yarman; four daughters, Debra Baker, Donna (Ed) Englert, Lynda (Randy) Metz, Cheryl (Travis) Moody; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and his sister Barbara (Bill) Cline.

In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his former wife Shirley (Dowis) Yarman; two brothers, Donald “Jim” Yarman, Murrell Yarman; his sister Beverly Keys; and his step-father Jack Waddell.

Friends may call on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown. A service will be held on Thursday beginning at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tadd Stonseller officiating.

Burial, with military honors provided by the Knox County Joint Veteran’s Council, will follow in Forest Cemetery.
