Marceline “Marcie” Harrington, 92, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 30, 2018.
She was born on Jan. 23, 1926 in Salinas, California the daughter of Joseph and Alice (Laffoom) Saldivas. Marcie enjoyed working in her yard and was proud of her roses, but most important to her was the quality time she spent with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter Debra (David) Alberts of Mount Vernon; two grandchildren, Christina (Larry) Ballengee and Joshua Lemley; five great grandchildren, Megan Ballengee, Matthew Stover, Chase Ballengee, Caleb Lemley and Lakelynn Lemley; several nieces and nephews and good friend and neighbor, Nancy Smith.
Besides her parents Marcie was preceded in death by her husband Leroy Harrington; a daughter, Judith Lemley; two sisters, Martha Schutt and Josephine Favalora.
A graveside service will be held on Friday beginning at 1 p.m. in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Marceline “Marcie” Harrington.
