Karolyn K. Peters, 71, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.
She was born on Nov. 6, 1946 in Mount Vernon, Ohio, to the late Owen D. and M. Maxine (Stull) Black.
Karolyn was an animal lover and spent her whole life caring for all of her animals. Her special canine companion Sissy-Sue was like one of her family members. She also enjoyed being around her family members, especially her grandkids and great-grandson.
She is survived by her son, Jonathan (Mary) Giffin, three grandchildren, Daniel and Matthew Giffin, and Jeremy Silliman; great-grandson, Nathan Silliman; sisters, Crystal Pipes and Melodee Hitchcock; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will take place at a later date.
